Auto Group Stores Collect 6,627 Pounds of Food for Westmoreland Food Bank

This year, the spirit of giving was alive and well at Auto Group as all our stores participated in a three-week-long competition to collect food for the Westmoreland Food Bank. The annual drive, known as the Smail 500, challenged our teams to come together for a meaningful cause—and the results were truly inspiring.

After some healthy competition, it was Smail Pre-Owned II—our smallest store—that took home the win, proving that size doesn’t always matter when it comes to heart. The entire group collected over 7,300 food items, which ended up filling six pallets. Once everything was tallied up by the food bank, Smail Auto Group delivered an incredible 6,627 pounds of food.

We can’t express enough how important this donation is, especially given the challenges many have faced this year. The hope is that this contribution brings a bit of relief to those in need throughout our community.
